All bark, good bite

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Everything seems brighter and more enchanting. To celebrate this time of good cheer, I like to make holiday inspired treats. This week, I made double chocolate almond coconut bark. Let that sink in for a minute. Oh yes.

Artistic Bark - opening pic

This melt in your mouth decadence couldn’t be easier. You’ll need:

-1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
-1/2 cup white chocolate chips
-2 tblsp shredded coconut (unsweetened)
-whole almonds (as many as you like)
-holiday inspired sprinkles
-a tiny tiny (like miniscule specks) pinch of chili powder (optional SECRET INGREDIENT that makes everyone go..hmm)

artistic ingredients

Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave (30 second intervals, stirring each time until thoroughly melty) and add the chili powder for an added bite (if you’re a masochist). Pour and spread onto parchment paper.spread dark chocolatechocolate with coconut
While it’s still soft, evenly sprinkle over the coconut. Melt the white chocolate (see melting instructions above) and using a spoon, drizzle over the dark chocolate – make it rain baby. Drop the almonds on top, lightly pressing them into the chocolate to secure. Top it with a cheerful dusting of holiday sprinkles for some festive color. Let set in the fridge at least 30 minutesFinal barkVertical bark
