Days go fast and life is short. I don’t want to miss out on the things I love, namely food, but other things too. I’m going to – as Emma Stone so eloquently says – “eat the damn red velvet cupcake.”

The plan isn’t just to live, but to liven things up with a dash of hot pepper. There will be lots of eating (see aforementioned quoting of E.S.), and cooking in the hopes of preserving family recipes and adding my own flavor to the mix. I’m also hoping to use this space to share photos and stories of my time outside the kitchen, travels to lands both near and far to explore the cuisines (and more), and really just for anything that strikes my fancy. The point is to document and do so that at no point will I look back and say, “why didn’t I?”

My goal for this blog is that maybe you’ll find something nice on here to come home to as well.
